THE STORY
Valley Forge, where human endurance under dismal conditions prevailed for six long months. An army, arriving exhausted, injured, and doubtful, survived their difficulties to leave camp as an organized, better-trained force for independence. More than 100 years later, the first monuments were placed to honor the memory of the brave patriots. This guidebook reveals those memorials now standing in honor of our patriot heroes at Valley Forge National Historical Park.
